Cure4CF: International Travel Award in partnership with TSANZ
The Cure4CF travel awards will be awarded to two individuals (one early and one mid-career researcher) based on the scientific merit of their submitted abstract to the TSANZ Annual Scientific Meeting for the upcoming year. The aim of the award is to support the professional development of the awardees in their presenting their cystic fibrosis research at an international conference, where they also can build collaborations with other researchers.
Each award consists of AU$5,000 ex GST to contribute to expenses associated with attending and presenting an abstract reporting on cystic fibrosis research at an international scientific meeting of the recipient’s choice within 12 months of the award.

Cure4CF: Career Development Awards in partnership with TSANZ
The Cure4CF Career Development Award aims to support the career growth of researchers engaged in translational research focused on life-extending and life transforming outcomes for people with cystic fibrosis (CF). Up to two individuals will be selected based on the merit of their proposal.
The award is intended to support career development activities such as (but not limited to):
- Further training
- Travel to support research or capacity building
- Mentorship or coaching
- Childcare costs associated with participation in award-related activities
- Collaboration support
Each award consists of AU$15,000 ex GST for one year.
Note: This award is not intended to support the production of pilot data.

Lung Foundation Australia – Cure4CF joint Bronchiectasis Travel Award
In partnership with Lung Foundation Australia, we are offering a travel award to attend the world bronchiectasis conference. This award is valued at $5,000 and is intended to provide early and mid-career researchers who are working on bronchiectasis in cystic fibrosis with an educational opportunity to attend the World Bronchiectasis Conference.
Applications from those intending to present their research as a poster and/or oral abstract are highly encouraged and will be given priority during the assessment process.
Grant funding may be used to cover any or all costs incurred due to attendance at the conference including:
- Return airfares.
- Accommodation for the duration of the conference.
- Travel costs (e.g. taxis, parking).
- Daily incidentals and meals.
- Full Registration.
