Cure4CF and Lung Foundation Australia announce new partnership

Cure4CF and Lung Foundation Australia are partnering to turbo charge respiratory research.

This new three-year partnership brings together two highly respected national organisations with shared values and long-standing commitment to supporting research that delivers real benefits to Australians, improves clinical practice and addresses the needs of people living with cystic fibrosis (CF) and respiratory conditions.

Cure4CF is a leading Australian not-for-profit organisation that raises funds for CF research, supporting promising work with the potential to make a meaningful difference for the CF community. The partnership reflects a shared interest in connecting research with the needs and experiences of the people it aims to benefit.

Lung Foundation Australia Chief Executive Officer, Mark Brooke, said the partnership brings together the two organisations expertise, networks and infrastructure to fund projects that can translate into real world outcomes.

“Over the next three years, we look forward to working with Cure4CF and exploring ways to support researchers and keep the perspectives of people with lived experience central to the work,” Mr Brooke said.

Cure4CF CEO Suzy Dimaline said the partnership would create new connections between research and the communities it aims to benefit.

“We’re excited by the opportunity to learn from each other and explore how our shared commitment to research can create progress for people affected by cystic fibrosis and other respiratory conditions,” she said.

The organisations will continue working together to shape the partnership and identify opportunities to advance shared priorities.
